Biography

Diverse audiences across ages and professions at local, state, regional and national events have gleaned powerful skills and insights through experiencing Melanie Hoffner’s energizing, positive and interactive speaking and training facilitation. Melanie’s passion is to use her inspirational speaking, personal coaching and brain-compatible training skills to empower others to create successful outcomes and facilitate growth toward personal and organizational potential. Actively speaking, teaching and training for over 20 years, Melanie currently contributes professionally as President/People Development Specialist of her business, Brain Bonanza LLC, and as Staff Development Specialist for DuTrac Community Credit Union.

The CUNA Center for Professional Development recognized Melanie’s training excellence with a 2004 Experience Learning Live Standing Ovation Award. Her commitment to excellence extends to her leadership and activity in professional organizations including the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), CUNA HR/Training and Development Council, Iowa Credit Union Training Network, and the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP).

Melanie is a life-long learner, earning certification as a Brain-Based Trainer through the Jensen Learning Corporation, which she added to her BA degree and diverse program-specific certifications, including Accountability That Works©, Active Parenting of Teens©, Dimensions of Learning©, Sales Leadership Strategies©, Core Sales Strategies©, Referral Strategies©. In addition, she is a licensed trainer of Psycho-Geometrics(TM) and was an Iowa-Certified Secondary Educator. Most recently, Melanie earned certification as a facilitator of The Passion Test: The Effortless Path to Discovering Your Destiny©.

Her family - husband Tom, son Alex, and cat Meeka - is the foundation of Melanie’s life of joy, gratitude, faith and passion to make a positive difference in the lives she touches.
